Move To Unlock is designed to interrupt automatic phone habits like endless scrolling and reflex-based app checking.
Before selected apps are unlocked, the user is asked to complete a short movement.
That pause creates a small break in the loop and gives the user a chance to continue more intentionally.
This is not a workout app and not a medical product.
The purpose is simple: make distracting app use less automatic.
Designed for real situations
Some movements are discreet enough for public places. Others are more active and better suited for when the user has more space.

Why I Built Move To Unlock
I built this app because I was dealing with the same problem myself.
For me, it was mostly phone games and TikTok.
I kept opening them too easily, too often, and wasting more time than I wanted to admit.
What helped was not a lecture, and not a complicated self-improvement system.
What helped was a pause.
A small interruption before the app opened.
That is where Move To Unlock came from.
I made it to slow that moment down and make the habit less automatic.
Since using it, I have cut things back a lot.
Now I only keep one game on my phone, and I usually give myself 15 minutes.
After that, I stop much more easily.
So this app is not based on theory alone.
It comes from something I actually needed, tested, and still use myself.
A small pause can change a habit
This app is here to help you break automatic patterns — not to turn your day into a workout challenge.
What this app is really for
Move To Unlock is not a workout app.
It is a habit tool designed to interrupt automatic app opening and give you a small moment to decide more consciously.
Instead of going straight into the app, you pause, move a little, and break the pattern.
Why movement helps
A short movement can do more than people think.
It helps reset your attention, wakes up the body a little, and can clear mental fog — especially if you spend a lot of time sitting or doing demanding mental work.
Sometimes a small physical action is enough to snap you out of autopilot.
If your work is already physical
This app is not only for people who sit all day.
If you already move a lot during work, it can still help by creating a short pause before distraction.
That pause gives you a chance to ask yourself:
Do I actually want to open this app right now?
Or was it just a reflex?
This app will not do everything for you
Move To Unlock can support better habits, but it cannot replace your decision.
This app works best when you also choose to change something.
Think of it like a small reminder:
- Pause for a second
- Move a little
- Or maybe just close it and move on
Small interruptions can lead to better habits over time.
One last reminder
Progress is not about perfection. It is about interrupting the pattern often enough that a new one can grow.
